It has been estimated that cervical cancer cases will rise alarmingly in forthcoming years. Women’s health and fitness experts have warned the female population that in advance screening for cervical cancer is very much important because pre-cancerous lesions may be prevalent in women in early stages. No doubt, the screening can save lot of women if the diagnosis of cervical cancer is done in early stage before metastasis takes place.

To improve the sensitivity and specificity of these tests, many automated techniques have been devised and used by experts. The overall intention is reducing the incidence of dreaded menace of cervical cancer by diagnosing it at pre-cancer stage!
